Product Detail

Fitment: This connecting rod set fits 2002 - 2005 Subaru WRX and 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI. Note that these rods can only be used in an EJ255 engine with an aftermarket piston that doesn't need a tapered connecting rod. Features: Manley Performance makes top - notch steel connecting rods in the Sport Compact industry. The Pro Series 'I' Beam is forged from 4340 aircraft - quality vacuum - degassed material. It uses the proven 'Turbo Tuff' design and comes with 3/8' ARP 2000 cap screws. After machining, all rods are properly shot - peened and 100% magnafluxed. These 'I' Beam Turbo Tuff rods are favored by top tuners in and outside the US for high - horsepower engines. All Manley connecting rod sets are weight - matched to ± 1.5 grams. The big and small end bores are honed to a tolerance of ± .0002'. Bend and twist are minimized, and every detail is carefully inspected. It's sold as a set of four (4) connecting rods and is suitable for Subaru EJ205 and EJ257 engines. Specs: Big End Bore: 2.165'; Big End Width: .840'; Center - to - Center: 5.141'; Pin Bore: .9063'; Pin Diameter: .905' (23mm); Weight: 613g.

How to use: When installing these connecting rods, make sure your Subaru WRX (2002 - 2005) or STI (2004 - 2021) engine is properly prepared. If you're using an EJ255 engine, use an aftermarket piston that doesn't require a tapered connecting rod. Just follow the standard engine assembly procedures and you'll be good to go. Note: Only use these rods with the specified engine models and pistons as mentioned. Any deviation might lead to engine problems. Maintenance: Regularly check the engine's condition. After a certain number of miles or hours of use, inspect the connecting rods for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice anything unusual, have it checked by a professional mechanic.
