After machining, each rod is shot - peened and magnafluxed. The bores are perfectly round with no taper, and they use APR 2000 cap screws for ultimate strength. Using these Manley Turbo Tuff I Beam connecting rods is straightforward. First, make sure your Subaru WRX (2002 - 2005) or STI (2004 - 2021) engine is in good condition. If you're using them in an EJ255 engine, remember to use an aftermarket piston that doesn't need a tapered connecting rod. When installing, follow the standard engine installation procedures. Keep in mind that these rods come as a set of four. As for maintenance, regularly check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and at the right level. This helps keep the rods lubricated and in good working order. Also, keep an eye on the engine's performance. If you notice any unusual noises or vibrations, it might be a sign to have the rods inspected. And don't forget, you can buy Manley Pistons separately to complete your engine upgrade.
