Enhance your engine bay's look with our Subtle Solutions Alternator Cover. It's a direct replacement for the plain plastic factory cover. This cover fits 2002 - 2014 Subaru WRX, 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI, 2005 - 2009 Legacy GT (with OEM STI bracket only), 2004 - 2013 Forester XT (09 - 13 with OEM STI bracket only), and 2005 - 2009 Outback XT. Note: It won't fit the 2011 - 2013 FB25 non - turbo motor. Using this alternator cover is easy. First, if your vehicle requires it, you can buy the Subaru OEM STI Power Steering Belt Cover Bracket separately. Before installing the hardware that comes with the alternator cover, remove the rubber bushing on the bracket. Install the tall spacer with bolt and washer through the stock Subaru oem bracket on the passenger side power steering pump. Then, use the Subaru OEM STI bracket to install the shorter spacer and hardware with clip nut on the alternator (driver side). As for maintenance, keep it clean to prevent dirt build - up. The powder - coated finish helps protect it from corrosion, but if you notice any scratches, you may want to touch them up to maintain the protection. Make sure to check the installation hardware regularly to ensure it's tight and secure.
