Fitment Information: This kit is a perfect fit for 2002 - 2014 Subaru WRX and 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI. Please note that it directly fits your KillerB or Verus AOS system. Other AOS systems might need extra components for installation.
Features: Many regular drain hose installations have the hose nearly horizontal or with a small vertical angle. During acceleration, this stops the oil from freely flowing back to the sump. EJ engines also push oil into the heads during heavy cornering, leading to excess oil in the AOS. The 3MI Racing Drain Hose Kit solves these problems. It replaces the turbo drain hose, lowering the return point by about 4 inches and enhancing oil return in all conditions, so your AOS can work better.
The hose is made of wrapped silicone with nylon reinforcement and a fluorosilicone (FVMQ) liner, ensuring a long lifespan when in contact with oil. It comes with an extra - long turbo oil drain hose for rotated turbo kits. The drain hose has markings for cutting for stock - location turbos. It has a 24 - inch AOS drain hose that fits all common AOS install locations, just cut it to the right length. New stainless hose clips for the turbo drain hose are included, along with an aluminized - fiberglass heat sleeve to protect the AOS drain section from high exhaust heat.
Track testing showed that AOSs often acted like 'oil capacitors', draining only under braking. Secondary cans caught oil pushed from the AOS or excess oil in vent hoses. We think this was because the AOS designs had more oil than intended. The addition of this hose helped fix these issues.
Installation notes: Installing along the bellhousing is very popular and leaves enough space for TMIC or FMIC mounted locations. You can also plumb it in front of the uppipe, under the OEM turbo bracket.

To maintain this kit, keep an eye on the silicone hose and the heat sleeve. If you notice any signs of wear, like cracks in the hose or damage to the heat sleeve, it's a good idea to replace them. Also, regularly check the hose clips to make sure they're tight and holding the hose in place.
