It smoothly transitions exhaust flow from the 3' main circuit to the 2' rear circuit axleback exhaust. The stepped Y - design boosts torque more than other catbacks on the market, while achieving similar horsepower as high - end designs. It also ensures a drone - free exhaust sound. This midpipe is a key part of our Catback Exhausts for '08 - '10 WRX Sedans and '11+ WRX & STi Sedans. It's a 3 - piece design with latch - over V - band clamps at two middle connections, factory - fitting 3' flared flange at the front and factory - fit flanges at the axleback. These clamps make installation easy, and the 3 - piece design allows for maximum ground and chassis clearance adjustment. It comes with a proprietary 3' donut gasket for seamless connection to your factory or Nameless Performance 3' downpipe. Made of T304 stainless steel for top - notch corrosion resistance and long life. When paired with our axleback exhausts, it can increase wheel torque by up to 34ft lb and add 22whp using a Stage 1 Off - The - Shelf tune as the baseline.

Using this midpipe is quite straightforward. First, make sure your vehicle is parked on a flat and stable surface. When installing, use the latch - over V - band clamps at the middle connections for easy setup. Connect the forward end of the midpipe to your factory downpipe or a Nameless Performance 3' downpipe using the provided 3' donut gasket. At the other end, attach it to the axleback section with the factory - fit flanges. When it comes to maintenance, since it's made of T304 stainless steel, it has good corrosion resistance. But it's still a good idea to regularly check the V - band clamps and flanges for tightness. If you notice any unusual noises or changes in performance, it might be a sign to inspect the midpipe.
