Fitment Information: This ACT 6-puck rigid race disc fits 2004 - 2021 Subaru STI, 2006 - 2021 Subaru WRX, 2005 - 2012 Subaru Legacy GT, and 2006 - 2009 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B. Note that it's a 240mm upgrade and you must use ACT 240mm pressure plate and flywheel. Features: If your ACT 6-puck rigid replacement disc for the Subaru STI (6240018) is worn out and you don't want to buy a new clutch kit, get this replacement. It's made of high-quality ceramic friction materials. The disc engagement is harsh but shifting is super fast. It has top-grade rivets for secure fastening, and the rivet design and materials are chosen for maximum strength. This 6-pad rigid race disc is great for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat and offer smoother engagement. Feel: Aggressive engagement, quick shifts, and increased gear rattle. Recommended Use: Ideal for high-horsepower street or race use. ACT Difference: It has high burst strength and can hold 28% more torque than typical organic materials. Manufacturer Warranty: Limited Retail Warranty. Installation Instructions: Follow ACT's General Installation Instructions. FAQ: Can an ACT race puck-style disc be used for daily driving? ACT's race discs are very aggressive. The engagement is harsh, and taking off from a stop can cause judder and noise. They're only for professional race settings, not for the street. ACT recommends using an organic disc on the street for smoother engagement and longer performance. When should a clutch disc be replaced? Most new discs are 0.312 - 0.315 inches (7.93 - 8.00mm) thick. Fully worn is 0.275 inches (7.00mm) or less. Some applications start at 0.332 - 0.335 inches (8.43 - 8.50mm) and should be replaced below 0.295 inches (7.50mm). Measure with a micrometer. Puck discs are measured as they are, while organic street discs are measured by compressing the engagement cushion. If the lining rivets touch the flywheel or pressure plate, replace the disc. Using a disc outside the pressure plate's working range can lead to poor results.

How to Use: First, make sure your vehicle is one of the compatible Subaru models as listed in the fitment information. When installing, follow ACT's General Installation Instructions carefully. Once installed, expect an aggressive engagement and quick shifts. Note that there will be increased gear rattle. This disc is best for high-horsepower street or race use, not for daily street driving. If you want a smoother ride on the street, use an organic disc instead. Maintenance: Regularly check the thickness of the clutch disc. Use a micrometer to measure. If the disc reaches the minimum thickness as mentioned in the FAQ section, it's time to replace it. Also, keep an eye on the lining rivets. If they make contact with the flywheel or pressure plate, replace the disc immediately. This will ensure the proper performance and longevity of your clutch system.
