It works well with both stock WRX or STI TMIC and may also fit some aftermarket intercoolers. Crafted from 304 Stainless Steel, this product is a game - changer. It helps your intercooler stay cool by providing an outlet (the 'chimney') for hot air to escape through your factory or aftermarket hoodscoop splitter vents. Using this product is easy. First, make sure your Subaru WRX or STI is from 2002 - 2007. You can use it with either the stock or some aftermarket intercoolers. Just install the chimney duct using the included stainless - steel mounting hardware and rubber gasket. The heat shield should be placed properly to direct the hot air out. When driving, the cooler air will automatically flow through the chimney and push the warm air out. As for maintenance, since it's made of 304 stainless steel, it's quite durable. But you can still clean it regularly with a mild soap and water solution to keep it looking good. Also, check the mounting hardware occasionally to make sure everything is tight. If you notice any damage to the rubber gasket, replace it right away to ensure proper functionality.
