Product Detail

Part #: SUSH1. This 1 - piece driveshaft for the Subaru Impreza WRX is crafted from 6061 - T6 3' aluminum. It's around half the weight of the factory 2 - piece driveshaft. With larger, replaceable and greaseable u - joints, it can handle up to 650WHP and reach 155 MPH. Replacing the factory shaft with this single one makes the car more responsive. The lighter weight and the absence of a hanger - bearing movement during acceleration contribute to this. It's available for most common motor/trans combos. If yours isn't listed, custom shafts are an option. Please note, this driveshaft is rated for 650WHP and 155MPH, not recommended for higher speeds. It has a 3' diameter, and your vehicle may need minor driveshaft tunnel modifications for a proper fit. Ensure at least 3/4' clearance around it before use, and check that differential bushings aren't worn, as this can damage the driveshaft. Warranty doesn't cover damage from improper fitment. A new 2 - 3/4' diameter 1 - piece Carbon - Fiber driveshaft without clearance issues or MPH restrictions is coming soon.

Using this driveshaft is easy. First, remove the factory 2 - piece shaft from your Subaru WRX 2002 - 2007 with 5 - Speed M/T. Then, install the new 1 - piece aluminum driveshaft. Make sure to check for at least 3/4' clearance around the driveshaft before starting the vehicle. Check the differential bushings to ensure they're not worn. This driveshaft is rated for 650WHP and a top speed of 155MPH, so don't go above these limits. For maintenance, keep the u - joints greased as they are replaceable and greaseable. If your vehicle needs minor modifications to the driveshaft tunnel for proper fitment, get it done by a professional. If you notice any issues like unusual vibrations or noises, stop using the driveshaft and check for proper fitment and wear.
