Product Detail

Part #: 571101. This SFI 18.1 certified performance crankshaft damper is a straightforward bolt - on upgrade for your existing OEM elastomer style harmonic balancer. No installation modifications are needed. The Fluidampr performance damper offers long - lasting, wide - range protection against the harmful crankshaft torsional vibration that often comes with engine modifications. It provides a solid foundation for enhanced durability and performance. We suggest installing it early in your engine build to get the best results. It's perfect for street car enthusiasts and professional race teams alike. You won't have to worry about maintenance, and it'll stay compatible with future upgrades. It'll last the entire lifespan of your engine without expensive and time - consuming rebuilds or replacements. The design and development of this damper follow the strict ISO 9001:2008 certified standard, just like the viscous dampers supplied by Fluidampr's parent company, Vibratech TVD, to the aviation and defense industries. Starting with engineering research data, the design was created using computer simulation software and put through a series of proprietary computer - simulated tests, including FEA. The damper is printed on a 3D additive printer after computer modeling and sent to top engine builders for fitment verification. Once the design and fitment are confirmed, functional prototypes are made, and product testing begins. The Fluidampr performance damper for 2013 - later FRS/BRZ/GT86 and 2015 Subaru WRX models has a six - rib drive pulley. It's precisely CNC machined from high - grade steel. Both the outer housing and internal inertia ring are factory - balanced at high speed by computer. The pre - drilled 3 - bolt hole pattern on the outer housing can accept an ARE dry sump drive or other accessories with a custom mounting bracket. It has a corrosion - resistant black zinc chromate finish and includes an engraved timing mark. It's made in the USA. Application Specifications: Housing: Steel; Finish: Black Zinc; O.D.: 5 - 7/8”; Weight: 5.8 lbs; Rotating Weight: 3.8 lbs; Bore: 0.787”; Length: 1.62”; Safety: SFI Certified; Accessory Bolt Pattern: 1.810 center – 5/16 - 18 UNF 2.75. Application List: FA20 Engines: 2013 - 2017 Subaru BRZ, 2013 - 2016 Scion FR - S, 2013 - 2017 Toyota GT86, 2015+ Subaru WRX 2.0L, 2015+ Subaru Forester 2.0XT Premium and Touring Only. FB Engines: 2011+ Subaru Forester, 2012+ Subaru Legacy, 2012+ Subaru XV Crosstrek.

Using the Fluidampr performance damper is easy. Since it's a direct bolt - on upgrade, you can simply replace your existing OEM elastomer style harmonic balancer without any modifications. When installing, make sure to follow the standard engine installation procedures. Pay attention to the alignment of the pre - drilled 3 - bolt hole pattern on the outer housing if you plan to attach an ARE dry sump drive or other accessories using a custom mounting bracket. As for maintenance, one of the great things about this damper is that it's maintenance - free. You don't have to worry about costly rebuilds or replacements. Just keep an eye on the overall condition of your engine. If you notice any unusual vibrations or performance issues, it's a good idea to check the damper's fitment and connection. Also, due to its corrosion - resistant black zinc chromate finish, it can withstand normal wear and tear, but try to keep it clean from excessive dirt and debris. That way, it'll continue to provide reliable protection against crankshaft torsional vibration and support your engine's performance for a long time.
