Using this gauge pod is easy. First, install the main pod in your vehicle. The OEM mounting tabs and vent ensure a perfect fit. You can use the two removable slide tabs to hold a Universal add - on pod if you want. Then, route the wiring through the holes between the gauge pods and into the vent. You'll need to drill a quarter - size hole in the dashboard duct for the wires. Make sure to check that the gauges you use are up to 2 1/2' deep. This pod won't restrict the defroster's airflow and can handle temperatures up to 250 degrees. If you have AEM X - Series Gauges, remember to buy the SMY X - Series Adapters. For maintenance, just keep it clean. Since it's made of high - quality ABS plastic, it won't warp or discolor easily, but avoid exposing it to extremely harsh conditions.
