Product Detail

This Cobb SF Airbox is a must - have for Subaru WRX (2002 - 2007), STI (2004 - 2007), and Forester XT (2004 - 2008) owners. It combines the advantages of a cold air intake with the excellent performance of the SF Intake. The factory inlet channels cold air from the front grill directly to the airbox, which surrounds the SF Intake. This design keeps hot engine bay air, which can reduce horsepower, out of the intake system. It also separates rainwater from the intake air, solving the water ingestion problems common in in - fender cold air intakes. Features include a 16 - gauge aluminum build, a wrinkle black finish, the use of the factory snorkel for cold air intake, stainless - steel hardware, an OEM - quality fit, easy installation, and an installation guide.

Using your Cobb SF Airbox is straightforward. First, find a flat and safe place to work on your Subaru. Refer to the installation guide that comes with the airbox. It will walk you through the steps of taking out the old air intake and installing this new one. Make sure all the stainless - steel hardware is tightened properly to avoid any air leaks. When driving, the airbox will automatically draw in cold air from the front grill, improving your engine's performance. As for maintenance, regularly check the airbox for any dirt or debris. If it gets dirty, you can gently clean it with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the wrinkle black finish. If you notice any signs of wear or if the air intake seems less efficient, it's a good idea to have it inspected by a professional.
