Product Detail

GrimmSpeed's Top Mount Intercooler Dyno Ducts are a great solution for dyno tuning your vehicle. On the street, your hood scoop grabs a huge amount of air as your car moves. But it's tough to mimic this on a dyno without the right gear. That's why our engineering team designed these ducts for product testing, and we realized other shops and tuners might love them too. Part #: 090099. These ducts are custom - made to fit the GrimmSpeed Top Mount Intercooler perfectly. They might fit other intercoolers with or without some changes, but our main aim was to optimize for our own intercooler. The 2015+ WRX dyno duct attaches directly to the lower splitter of the GrimmSpeed TMIC. Each duct comes with two 6' outlets, which are ideal for standard 6' HVAC flexible ducting. This type of ducting offers great flexibility and holds its shape, so it won't rest on your car. Also, it has excellent airflow compared to accordion - style hoses of the same size. You'll need to get creative when connecting the 6' duct to your chosen fans. We've had good results using some specific HVAC parts from the local hardware store, and we'll post a 'DIY' guide and video soon.

Using the GrimmSpeed Top Mount Intercooler Dyno Duct is straightforward. First, make sure your car is a Subaru WRX from 2015 - 2021. Attach the duct directly to the lower splitter on the GrimmSpeed TMIC. When you're ready for dyno tuning, connect the two 6' outlets of the duct to your standard 6' HVAC flexible ducting. Then, connect the other end of the ducting to your fans. You may need to use some HVAC parts from a local hardware store to make the connection work. As for maintenance, regularly check the duct for any signs of wear or damage. If there are any holes or tears, replace the duct right away. Keep the duct clean and dry to ensure it functions well. When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place to extend its lifespan.
