Using your SMY IPF Fog Light Kit is easy. First, make sure your car is turned off and the engine is cool. Follow the included instructions to install the brackets on your vehicle. Then, carefully place the fog lights onto the brackets and secure them with the provided stainless - steel fasteners and washers. Insert the H11 bulbs into the fog lights. Remember, for 2014 - 2018 Forester and 2014 - 2018 Crosstrek models, you'll need to trim the brackets a bit. When driving, turn on the fog lights when visibility is poor, like in fog, heavy rain, or at night on dark roads. To maintain your fog lights, clean the glass lens regularly with a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the lens. Check the bulbs periodically to make sure they're working properly. If a bulb burns out, simply replace it with a new H11 12V 55W bulb. Keep in mind that the brackets have a lifetime warranty, but it doesn't cover car accidents. If a fog light breaks due to hazardous road conditions, you can buy a replacement, but only if you've bought a full kit from SMY or an authorized dealer.
