Fitment Information:
Designed for 1992 - 2007 Subaru Impreza, WRX, and STI models. These cars are well - known for rally performance and are increasingly used in grip racing.
Features:
- Lightweight Design: It's 1 kg lighter than the OEM knuckle / upright, yet still has the required strength and stiffness.
- Rollcenter Correction: Drops 50mm from the knuckle / upright, bringing the roll center, bumpsteer, anti - squat, and camber curve back to normal. This provides better roll stiffness, handling, and grip.
- Wheel Bearing Compatibility: For 2000 - 2007 WRX/STI, a 72x42x52 wheel bearing is needed. You can choose either a 5x100 hub (28462FE001) or a 5x114.3 hub (28462FE011), both suitable for STI/WRX 72x42x52 wheel bearings.
- Brake Caliper Upgrade: The brake caliper tabs are moved to the upright / knuckle. Unlike the OEM solution where the rear brake caliper attaches to the brakeshield, this offers higher stiffness for the brake caliper.
- Handbrake Compatibility: The OEM handbrake can be used, but you need to remove the brake caliper tabs for clearance.
- Enhanced Traction: The traction link bushing is replaced with a CrMo spherical bearing.
Kit includes:
- Left and right knuckles with hardware
- Installation guide
Other information:
- This kit requires coilovers for ride height correction.
- You can use the original wheel speed sensor.
Using these Wisefab Rear Drop Knuckles is a great way to enhance your 1992 - 2007 Subaru Impreza, WRX, or STI's performance. First, make sure you have coilovers for ride height correction as the kit assumes their use. When installing, follow the included installation guide carefully. The kit comes with left and right knuckles along with the necessary hardware. For the wheel bearings, if you have a 2000 - 2007 WRX/STI, use the 72x42x52 wheel bearing and choose either the 5x100 hub (28462FE001) or 5x114.3 hub (28462FE011). If you want to use the OEM handbrake, remember to remove the brake caliper tabs for clearance. As for maintenance, check the spherical bearings regularly for any signs of wear. Also, keep an eye on the brake caliper and wheel bearings to ensure they are in good working condition. You can continue using the original wheel speed sensor without any issues. Enjoy the improved handling and grip that these knuckles bring to your car.
