Product Detail

Part #: FJK1001-HD. This heavy-duty clutch kit is an upgraded version of the original stock O.E. clutch. The pressure plate has a higher clamp load, which significantly extends its service life. The dual-dampened disc ensures smooth engagement and helps increase the lifespan of your transmission. The premium friction material quickly dissipates heat, further enhancing the clutch's durability. It's perfect for both spirited driving and daily commuting. With a torque rating (at crank) of 295 Ft-Lb, it offers reliable performance. Fitment note: Subaru made a mid-year production change starting at VIN # J*806877. This kit only fits 2015 - 2018 models. The 2018 1/2 and newer models require a different clutch kit and are not interchangeable. For 2015 - 2018 models, a flywheel is needed for installation. SBC offers part number SBCSUB1001, or you can get a flywheel from Subaru for a 06 - 14 2.5L turbo WRX.

Using this South Bend Clutch heavy-duty stage 1 clutch kit is straightforward. First, make sure you have the correct flywheel for your 2015 - 2018 Subaru WRX model. You can either use SBC's part number SBCSUB1001 or source one from Subaru for a 06 - 14 2.5L turbo WRX. When installing, follow the standard clutch installation procedures. For daily use, this clutch is great for both normal driving and when you want to have a bit of fun on the road. Just remember, although it's heavy-duty, avoid excessive and sudden clutch engagement, as this can still put stress on the components. In terms of maintenance, regularly check the clutch for any signs of wear. If you notice any unusual noises or a change in the clutch's feel, it's a good idea to have it inspected. Keep the clutch clean and free from debris to ensure optimal performance and a long lifespan.
