Product Detail

Part: # 85673. At the factory, excess crankcase vapors, residual oil, and moisture are vented back into the intake manifold and crankcase ventilation system. This can coat the pistons and other components with an oil layer prone to detonation, which is a big no - no for turbocharged vehicles. Moroso's unique 2 - tank system allows the factory crankcase ventilation to work as it was originally designed, something no other market system can offer. The billet aluminum bodies look great in any engine compartment and can be polished, chromed, or powder - coated for a personalized touch. This kit comes with black anodized bodies for extra corrosion protection and a clean look in the engine bay. Each separator has a billet aluminum clamp, and the bottom unscrews for easy removal of the collected oil. The kit includes stainless steel mounting brackets, 1/2' inlet and outlet fittings, and 3/8' and 1/2' diameter rubber hoses for inline plumbing of the air - oil separators. It's suitable for cars with a TMIC and a stock - location turbo.

Using this Moroso air oil separator kit is straightforward. First, find a suitable place in your engine bay for mounting. Use the included stainless steel mounting brackets to securely attach the separators. Connect the 1/2' inlet and outlet fittings to the appropriate parts of your engine's ventilation system using the 3/8' and 1/2' diameter rubber hoses. Make sure all connections are tight to prevent any leaks. As you drive, the separator will collect oil and moisture from the crankcase vapors. Periodically, unscrew the bottom of each separator to remove the collected oil. Keep an eye on the condition of the rubber hoses and the anodized finish of the bodies. If you notice any signs of wear or corrosion, take appropriate action. Avoid using abrasive cleaners on the anodized bodies as it may damage the protective coating. And always refer to your vehicle's manual if you're unsure about any part of the installation or maintenance process.
