Product Detail

Part: # 85489. Factory - installed systems vent excess crankcase vapors, residual oil, and moisture back into the intake manifold and crankcase ventilation system. This leaves a detonation - prone oil layer on pistons and other parts, especially bad for turbocharged vehicles. Moroso's innovative 2 - tank system allows the factory crankcase ventilation to work as intended, a feature no other market system offers. Its billet aluminum bodies enhance any engine compartment and can be polished, chromed, or powder - coated for a custom look. Each separator comes with a billet aluminum clamp and a bottom drain with an elbow for mess - free oil draining. The kit includes stainless steel mounting brackets, 1/2' inlet and outlet fittings, 66' of 3/8' diameter and 66' of 1/2' diameter rubber hoses for inline plumbing. Note: This is for cars with a TMIC and stock - location turbo, not suitable for FMIC or rotated - mount turbo setups.

Using this Moroso air oil separator is straightforward. First, find a suitable place in your engine compartment to install it using the provided stainless steel mounting brackets. Connect the inlet and outlet fittings with the 3/8' and 1/2' diameter rubber hoses to your vehicle's ventilation system as per the inline plumbing requirements. Once installed, the separator will start working automatically to separate oil from the air. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the collected oil in the separator. You can easily drain it through the bottom drain with the elbow, which is designed to keep the process clean. Remember, this product is only for cars with a TMIC and stock - location turbo. Do not use it with a FMIC or rotated - mount turbo, as it may not work properly and could cause damage to your vehicle's engine.
