By adding these overlays to the side of your SubiSpeed Headlights, you can eliminate the bright orange sidemarker and make the large lens less obvious. These overlays are made from ultra - premium material designed and manufactured in the US. They feature a long lifespan (10+ years), air egress channels for easy installation, and a stunning, one - of - a - kind design. It looks like regular carbon vinyl but allows light to shine through in a unique way. The overlays cover the side and top of the headlight lens. Note: Only fits SubiSpeed headlights.
First, read all the instructions before you start. You'll need a hair dryer or heat gun for the installation. Wash your hands and clean the area where you'll apply the overlay. Make some soapy water (just a drop of dish soap or a little hand soap in a cup or bottle of water, more water than soap). You can apply this to the back of the overlay and the lens. This helps you move the overlay around and squeegee out air bubbles when it's in the right spot. We use our fingers to avoid scratching the material. Apply the overlay and align the larger part first. Then check the smaller top area. Once you're happy with the alignment, start pushing out water and air bubbles. You can make small adjustments, and it's easier to do this with a bit of heat. Just be careful not to burn the vinyl. Work towards the end of the top portion and push down any vinyl that's over the edge of the lens. It's possible to do the installation without soapy water because of the air egress channels, but if you're not sure, use slightly soapy water. These overlays are designed to last over 10 years, so just keep them clean and avoid using harsh chemicals on them.
